Karmaloop will be representing HEAVY in Austin, Texas next week for the annual South by Southwest festival, so come and check us out if SXSW is on your destination map this Spring. Our homies Clinton Sparks, Bad Rabbits, DJ Red Foxx, Audible Mainframe and many more will be performing at a number of showcases this year and we’ll keep you posted on all of the madness – but in the meantime, mark your calendars for our events on March 17th and 20th. We get it started with SHITFACED at Beauty Bar (Blogs’ favorite spot in Austin!) featuring those Rabbits, Mr. Get Familar and KarmaloopTV’s own Red Foxx, and keep it moving through the weekend with a Lawyers4Musicians-sponsored free show at Aces Lounge on the 20th featuring Cool Kids, Kidz in the Hall and our perpetual children Bad Rabbits.
Hope to see you there, and stay tuned for more SXSW news!

This tee really ties the site together.
Hands-down the Blog’s favorite comedy of all-time, The Big Lebowski has become a cultural phenomenon since it left theaters as a critical hit and box-office bomb, spawning a traveling Lebowski Fest, tours with “The Real Big Lebowski,” sequel rumors and hundreds of quotes within the movie that could be used for just about any situation in real life… mind if we do a J?
Anyways, Upper Playground’s superFishal rolled a strike with The His Dudeness Tee, featuring El Duderino in all of his bathrobed-glory with a few of his favorite things surrounding him; bowling pins and White Russians, of course. Click the tee images above for a closer look, and if you haven’t seen the film, check out the short version below:

It has been 13 years since the tragic passing of Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G., and the sizable void he left in the music world is as obvious as ever. In an industry where hip hop is often (not always…) created to be the next hot ring-tone, market the latest whip and surround one radio single with more filler than substance when the actual album drops, we will always have Biggie’s legacy to remind us that the game was once as real as it gets. Big Poppa lived and meant what he spoke on, pulled no punches and took no prisoners – Christopher Wallace was, and remains, what we all used to know as real hip hop.
You are missed, Biggie. Now more than ever.

The Most Official Bitches in streetwear, Married to the Mob, hooked it up with the latest look book featuring head bitch in charge Leah McSweeney and her lovely lil’ sis Sarah. Awww, cute! Shot within New York’s heralded Gramercy Park Hotel, the shoot features…
… hey, why the fuck are you reading this instead of (clicking here to see the flicks?)
There you go.
p.s. Leah’s blog is fucking hysterical on the daily and she has a grip of pictures posted from the look book shoot that we’re too bashful (*blush*) to post here. Go see.

Now, don’t be such a selfish asshole and remember to cop your girl(s) some gear when the latest M.O.B. drops. Then thank us later. Jerks.

While we absolutely do not encourage or support carrying loaded and/or unlicensed handguns under any circumstances, we are advocates for innovative, consistent music so we’ll miss our dude for the next eight months (with good behavior… we know you can do it, Weez).
In the meantime, show love and support with some Carter-inspired goods, including MindRite’s legendary Cake Tee re-issue, The Good Music Tee from Ginormous, and for the Youngest Money in your life, The Lil’ Grill Onesie by Pre.K Apparel.

All of the true graffiti heads out there know that when it comes to technique, hand-styles, fills and balls-out bombing, Germany is no joke. This much is proven with the latest heat added to the site from Bavarian-based brand Pyromaniac, blessed with redwood-sized roots in graffiti culture that has been stirring the coals of streetwear since 2003 – time to let these motherfuckers burn hella bright.

Clean lines, ridiculously intricate graphics and killer colorways is what Pyromaniac brings to the table, before they scorch it bare and leave a wake of ash and fat caps, that is. Featuring collaborations with top European writers such as SATONE, BANOS, I ARE UGLY, DISTURBANITY and, for Spring 2010, Bern, Switzerland-based Ata Bozaci, a.k.a. TOAST – check out dude’s site to see how he incorporates graffiti with architectural sensibilities. Madness.

Pyromaniac encourages people to ignore those telling us who we should be, but rather, listen to the voice inside of us and become who we are meant to be. Create a destiny, don’t settle on complacency… carpe diem and all that shit, or however it’s said in German. This crew simply burns with inspiration, inventiveness and passion for what they do, and that much is clear after a look at the latest drop here at Karmaloop. Pyromaniac will let you know that this is a new age these heads are creating, an evolution based on the graffiti elements and expanding to new places. With what is described as “urban functional,” the Pyro crew takes smoldering pride in producing garments that allow you to be comfortable enough to stay creative… and look damn good doing so.
